Nature
Octopuses have three hearts and blue blood.
Two hearts pump blood through the gills, and the third pushes it around the rest of the body. Their blood carries oxygen with copper-based hemocyanin instead of iron-based hemoglobin, which turns it blue. The main heart even stops beating while they swim, which is one reason they'd rather crawl.
